-----

Tech Support has been receiving a number of calls from people experiencing Jing crashes on start up. We have confirmed and can reproduce the error and want to share what we know at this time.

This seems to be a Tiger-only issue at this time. We know this is affecting Mac OS 10.4.11. It may affect more versions of Tiger.

Users are having some success with Jing if they disconnect from the Internet, then restart Jing.

Fixing this issue is our top priority and we are currently investigating leads. We will update this post with new information as we get it.

I had no issues until I installed Safari 10.4 (non-Beta) Not sure how that is related. But that is when I could no longer open Jing.

Hey

I have downloaded Jing and so far so good and it works perfectly well.

Considering getting the Pro version and is really user friendly.

Thanks for the free version.

I am glad that I am not the only one. I use Jing daily for the online college classes I teach. I have a pro account that works with Tiger on my machine at home, where I have gotten rid of Safari - I use Firefox exclusively.

At work, Safari was updated the other day - and - poof - Jing would not work.

I have it working now, by disconnecting from the web and then running the program, but the Pro feature is not enabled. I can't enable the Pro version, even though I bought it.

I deleted Safari on the work computer to see if it will start now while I am connected to the web.

Love this software ;-)

Sorry guys, but I am getting this on 10.5.7, and I updated Jing to the lastest ver 2.1, and rebooted my macbook. But Jing just crashes about 3mins after startup.
