"Hot Link" to a Jing Image (Not Just the Page it's Hosted On)
I really liked this "How-To" post from Ron (a.k.a. SI Spam Patrol (Cheeky Kid)) who uses Jing in conjunction with http://siliconinvestor.com--a stock news and discussion site.
He demonstrates a work-around that you will appreciate if you've wanted a link to the actual image (not just the Screencast.com small URL e.g. http://screencast.com/t/ExAmPlE5).
Some sites, message boards, forums, etc., require the exact link to the file name of the content, whereas Jing gives you a link to the page the content is on.
Would some kind of option for the file itself vs. the page be helpful to you? We do get some requests for this, but currently we've wanted to keep options in Jing (especially ones that might be a little confusing) to a minimum.

I would love to have this option.
I usually upload it to screencast, go to the page, right click on the image, get the link source . . . paste in forum board or whatever form
Yes, pretty please.
yes! i do the same thing
As a website manager I would love this feature.
You've already got my request for this option ... as a teacher my students and I use Jing a lot and many of the web 2.0 tools that we use in (and out of) class with images try to load them from a direct link.
YES! It's not like you can't track our bandwidth usage anyway, right? Implementation of this feature is really one that I would like because I know it's not too much to ask and it would be really useful.
