New Jing Improvements: Pick a Tweet, Any Tweet.

| | Comments (16)

You may have heard? Both free and Pro versions of Jing now have the ability to go straight to Twitter. Now you can easily add images and screencasts from your computer...to your tweets!

So in the spirit of Jing's latest headline feature, we've created some feature bullet points in under 140 characters. If you have a feeling your followers might be especially interested in one of these Jing improvements, send a Retweet. Or better yet, get the latest Jing and include a Jing in your tweet.

  • After THIS update, Jing's updates will be more flexible & know what's in the update beforehand. What else is new? http://bit.ly/5EPJVO
  • Jing's IMPROVED signup process--When you tell your friends to get Jing it'll be smoother for them. What else is new? http://bit.ly/4Nll4g
  • Have a life outside of work? Use your SC.com account for work, and create another for play! New Jing stuff: http://bit.ly/5F5wXb
  • Add images and screencasts to your tweets in an instant with Jing! What else is new? http://bit.ly/57aTMA

So, that's about it for now. We're off to plan for the next release so keep your suggestions coming.

Thanks for the new updates! Twitter addition is awesome!

I just saw some feedback that a person thought the update would automatically create the Twitter button. Instead you'll have to set it up yourself. Here's how: http://bit.ly/5DvXsd

Totally dead in the water after today's upgrade.

Have read the FAQ and followed instructions about what to do if Jing crashes on startup with XP/Vista. I'm on Vista x64.

Jing worked before the upgrade.

Crashes shortly after startup now. Sun goes into position. I can pick one thing to do. Then Jing seizes up.

I'm trying to log into my Pro account. No joy yet.

OK, so I've learned that having an account at screencast.com (my Pro account) does not carry over to techsmith.custhelp.com. Two different sites, two different accounts.

It might be nice to have a message to that effect somewhere on the techsmith.custhelp.com login page.

Of course it's OBVIOUS--after figuring it out.

my jing is also completely useless after the update. it crashes after trying to capture or change settings.

already been in talks with support. so far no resolution.

previous version used to work fine. was able to revert back to previous version but it wont let me share because there's an update available.

would be nice to not disable older versions of the software when the new ones are buggy.
