Meet Dirk Frazier: New Jing Product Manager
Hello World!
Dirk Frazier here - your new Jing Product Manager. Tony Dunckel is now the Director of Web and Enterprise Services. I'm very happy to be taking the reins from Tony, but I realize that I have big shoes to fill. The energy and vision that Tony brought into the world with the birth of Jing is unprecedented from a TechSmith perspective. Some of you might recognize me also as the Screencast.com PM. I pride myself on being a good listener and a strong advocate for all things TechSmith. Being a product manager in both camps lets me be your one-stop-shop for feedback. I plan to be respectfully honest with you, and share my feelings and thoughts openly.
Jing was created to primarily solve the problem of people wanting to quickly share visual content with others. Jing reaches out to casual users, who realize the benefit of sharing their computer-generated content with their clients, colleagues, friends, and family. Regardless of how we envisioned Jing being used, customers always have creative and innovative ideas about new ways of using the tools we build. (And by all means, keep them coming!)
What the team and I will be concentrating on in the coming months is the continuous improvement of the workflow that ignited Jing, but with an added focus on Jing as a tool that integrates better into existing enterprise and 3rd party applications and social networks. We don't want to re-invent the communities you already participate in, but we do want to make your community experiences richer and more meaningful with the addition of images and video. As a first step to meeting that challenge, you'll see our new Twitter integration in our December update.
So, thank you all for making Jing one of the hottest, can't-live-without TechSmith tools. I'm looking forward to many years of making you all even happier, one Jing at a time.

Dirk is it true that Tony Dunckel is Jing Man? Now you are product manager can you tell us the truth about Jing Man :)
@Tony - Haha! In my best Jeremy Clarkson voice: Some say...his love for Jing is only exceeded by his love for saving kittens in trees. All we know is...he's called Captain Jing!
