Wow - 500,000 Jing Users!

Call me happy... Call me surprised... Call me lucky... Whatever the case, I was so excited and humbled the other day when I noticed the Jing user base had grown over a 1/2 million users. Look at two of your friends or colleagues -- hopefully at least one of them is a fellow Jingmate of yours.

Its not the number per se that gets me all choked up, but more so the idea that this many people in the world are now speaking visually and hopefully adding valuable content to their online conversations. The real game changer for all of us is an environment where we not only consume rich forms of communication (images, video, audio), but also have an easy and accessible way to contribute to the conversation.

Whatever your reason for using Jing, the entire team and I want to sincerely thank you and hope you will keep that voice of reason coming our way. Its what has made Jing what it is today.

Humbly Yours,

I just installed and signed up for Jing, and played with it twice. When I went back to learn more, the sun and icon disappeared. I did not log off in between.

Is my account still valid? What happens if I try to re-do the sign up and you won't accept my username and password (as previously used)? I do not want to set up a new username or password.

Thank you, Carolyn Worth

Congratulations Jing Team for reaching the 1/2 million users milestone. I use Jing literally many times a day and could not see myself without it. It has allowed my to save time while communicating more clearly with clients, suppliers and team players.

Thanks for thinking and creating such a great tool.

You guys ROCK!

Hi Carolyn,
First, your account is still active and usable, we just have to figure out where that sun went off to. First of all, let's check if it's hiding in the menu bar (Mac) or system tray (Windows). Check out this help topic to see what I mean: http://help.jingproject.com/get-started/move-the-sun-launcher/

Next, if that doesn't work, I would start Task Manager (Windows) with Ctrl + Alt + Delete and see if you can quit Jing that way. Likewise on Mac, you can use the Activity Monitor.

Then, restart Jing from your Start menu (Windows) or Applications (Mac.)

The Jing sun shouldn't be going anywhere on its own so hopefully we can track it down. If this doesn't work, try our support at http://support.techsmith.com.
