How are you using Jing?
Hello Jing Community!
Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback on the two prototypes in the last blog post - you rock!
We want to keep developing Jing in a direction that meets your needs, and to do that, we need to know how you use it.
Therefore, please tell us a little about how you're using Jing by completing this three-minute survey.
Thanks, we appreciate it.
i like this very much
You guys/gals at Jing are missing a bet to not be adding an export button specifically for Skype file transfers for people to use while they are talking or chatting on that service.
Just checked my Skype current population and it is 16,500,000 people on line right now using it. If 1/10th of them started to use Jing to send and receive images, it would explode your user base.
I have blogged a bit about using Jing and Confluence together: http://friendofasquid.blogspot.com/2009/04/tools-of-trade.html. I think these work so well together when creating a knowledge-base.
I tried this about six months ago and couldn't get it to work. I am going to try again. I want to make tutorials for 4H youth groups. We will see.
Want to allow forum participants to click on a link and view my uploaded image. But I want this to expire after x views or days so that it does not use additional bandwidth/storage (that may get used up)
Hi Wilson,
Here's an idea: When you make a Jing that you know you want to expire at some point, name it with the date you want it to expire. Now, you'll have to do this manually, but every once in a while sign in to Screencast.com and open your Jing folder. Sort by file name and multi-select all the Jings you wish to delete.
I know that's not a great process, but for now... maybe that will help?

I'm trying to send e mails of my Mino Flip video and I can't.
Somehow I found Jing and downloaded it.
Is this what I need to enter my videos in an e mail?
Simply Brilliant! Love this.. keep up the great work jing krew.
When I capture an image, can I get just the image url ?
If we could, then I could use with google inline images quickly.
URL just to the image : This would be HUGE !
Does PRO do this, if so I'll get it!
Also Jing ouput option to send to evernote would be nice!
I absolutely love this. I started out by reviewing the free version for my blog, but then just had to get the PRO version.
I can't wait to use it some more....one thing though is when I upload to You Tube the bottom gets cut off. I wish that the selection tool had an aspect-ratio setting.
