How did you hear about Jing?
Posted on Tuesday October 14, 2008 by Mike Curtis
The thing about Jing is it's about communicating with friends and colleagues. We were wondering how you learned about Jing. Did someone "Jing" you and you had to discover how to "Jing" them back? Did you hear about Jing on the Web somewhere?

Hello Heather,
Yeah, it's true Jing has a 5-minute video limit. Here's a post to learn more about why this is: http://blog.jingproject.com/2008/06/take_5_the_video_time_limit.html
We're not saying we're right or anything, and we welcome feedback as Jing evolves.

Jing seems very interesting - almost the Twitter Ap equivalent for graphics and video!
I found it via the Techsmith site after downloading snagit.

Hello
I heard about Jing from my teacher. He openly said to the class he was going to be using it to record his lessons, in case we get behind. (Though that is more for the grade 11 class then the grade 12 web design.) I thought it cool and I'm here to try it out. The 5 minute recording kinda sucks, but; don't want to toast those server with an overnight recording of the computer's screen saver, now do we? ^.^; Though I'd like it increased to 15 minutes for use in recording boss fights on world of warcraft.

A coworker of mine was talking about Skitch, but that is for Macs only. So I searched Lifehacker for Skitch and looked to the comments to see if there was a PC equivalent, and there I found Jing.
Woot!

I found Jing because one of the bloggers on RWW, Rick Turoczy, suggested I use it for a demo for him. I love TechSmith, and was thrilled when I found it was you who're behind it.
I've yet to record my first session, but am excited to use it.

I read Tim Knight's blog Slope of Hope most every
late afternoon. One of its posters made a reference/prresentation with a stockchart but no
audio comment. There is just NO absence of creativity in this thing called the WorldWideWeb.
TAKE NOTICE: The JingProject is up and running and
who ever knows what it will morph into. How about,
for starters, a closer community of humans able to
express themselves much more clearly with eachother. MAX KUDOS to those behind/in front of
its creation.

I woke up in the middle of the night, couldn't sleep and saw this excellent program on G4Tech tv. I look forward to learning how to utilize it in order to help friends and family with instruction with there p/c's. It is so much easier and versatile to use than any other cumbersome, simple screen shot program! I'm sure as I learn to use it, I'll also think of more ways of putting it to use.
Thanks!
