Jing for Windows - Version 1.3 Update
Posted on Thursday October 18, 2007 by Michael Malinak
We're working hard on the features that Tony mentioned. But we wanted to get some fixes out for things that people have found since we released 1.3. Here's what this update contains:
- Fixed possible bugs when sorting in history.
- Spelt our company name right. Oops.
- Remember your settings when logging in and shutting down. This fixes the issue where people kept getting prompted to login or create an account.
You can download it here.

Yep. That was truly needed. Although you posted that workaround a couple of colleagues asked me for this bug. :-)

I have a problem with installing the 3.0 .net environment. When i download jing and try to install it, it stops on 3/4 with the 3.0 .net.
What can I do?

When I try to download jing, I get an error message telling me that the program is not a Win32 applicatrion. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you!

Kalyxo: I hope this helps then!
Kaj: You may want to try downloading the .NET Framework directly from Microsoft and install it first. Some people have reported that it fixes issues like that.
Denis: It's possible that the file was corrupted while downloading. I added a link in this post to the software so it's easier for people to grab. If you already have Jing installed you can also just hit "check for updates" from the "more page".

Sorry it's not related to the post but I was wondering if Jing has an affiliate program?

Hi,
I've just tried Jing and it's amazing but....how can I do for adapt the scale of the video to my page ?
Indeed I want to embed my video on a web page and I have for instance only 400x400 pixels for that.
Or I can not imagine I have to record my jing video on a 400x400 resolution...
I thought that Jing could reduce the scale of the video.
Is it possible ?

Francois, I have the same question re: sizing the video. are we to put the video in an OBJECT tag? this was my first thought but then I noticed that while I could resize the OBJECT tag on my web page the video inside did not resize resulting in some parts getting cut off. I hope someone can help us.

Hi there,
I've just upgraded my .net-framework from 2.0 => 3.0 (manual) and installed jing in the latest version from this site. When jing starts, I can see a view seconds the cursor in the registration-mask blinking. In this time I'm sometimes able to type somthing in. After ~3 Seconds, the program gets frozen, then Win XP HE/SP2 tells me, that the program is crashed and must be stopped.
I'm using an Laptop with integrated Intel Graphic-Card, an 1.7 Ghz Intel Celeron M with about 15 Gig free Diskspace on C.
I use a second, "extended Screen" with another resolution, but there is no differ if I deactivate the second screen.
I tried to restart my computer and installed jing again.
Do you have any other Idea how I can fix that problem?
Best wishes
Andreas

One More:
I've just seen that you require 1 GB RAM. I've only 512 MB RAM. May that be the reason of my problem?

I installed the update, but it keeps asking me to reinstall every time I log on in the morning. I took the bait several times, but as soon as it finished, it wanted me to install the update yet again. When I choose "skip it" , I'm told I won't be able to share any content. How to fix?

after downloading Screen Cast and JING it tellos me "--unable to connect to the remote server ""
I have changed my passwords to not avail, I have uninstalled the programs, nothing makes sense.
My experience is dreadful. Ready to say goodbye.

I have the same problem, it would be nice if there were some way to scale this video.
