Asked to Log In to Screencast.com Everytime You Start Jing? - Read This!
Posted on Monday October 15, 2007 by Tony Dunckel
Hi folks,
Unfortunately we had a bug in our latest release that you may be experiencing. If you keep seeing a prompt to log into Screencast.com every time you start Jing, you are victim to this annoying bug.
The good news is that there is a simple fix. The next time you see this prompt, go ahead and log in one more time. Then immediately click the "More" button on the launcher to open the settings. Once the settings are open, just go ahead and close it by click on the "checkmark". This will in turn save your settings so that it remembers your login automatically from here on out.
Sorry for the annoyance, you can rest assured we'll have this addressed in our next update.

Hi, I downloaded JING about 3 days ago, and have been having a blast ever since. I just did a few today with no problems on the login.
The only thing I can't seem to do is use the [T] Text function on images. And when I was telling people about JING, I didn't know what to call each of the funtions you can do, so I called them JANGLES!!
Jing Jangles. Which angle of the dangle will you use with your Jing Jangles?!?!
I'm surprised I didn't find any JING's on Youtube or google videos.
Thanks again for the KILLER APP!!
I found you after downloading Camtasia, which I'm sure I will have to add to my video tools.
Peace. West, Palm Springs, CA

I had to uninstall the program. I got the login error, but unfortunately, you seem to be using a port that is being blocked by the firewall in my workplace. At home I was able to login in. But as soon as the laptop made it into work, it immediately gave a remote server error message when I tried to login. So even if I set up the automatic login, it would error once it tried to connect.
