Jing and Product Demos...
It's 2am and I'm still awake...What am I doing? Surfing the web, doing research and checking out websites and technology. My days are often filled with meetings and other activities that prevent me from doing this during 'normal business' hours. And, what are normal business hours anymore?
I'll often see companies post webinars to learn more about products or talk with their reps, but I cannot always block an hour out of my day to attend. And, it's never at 2am or when I want to attend outside of normal business hours.
On that note, I was happy to see several video tours made with Jing at Jumpchart. I can watch their videos and see their product in action any time of the day...whenever it works out best for me! Check out all of their videos here. Think about it...Add a video tour and your sales and marketing demo runs 24/7!
Have you seen other cool uses of Jing? How are you using it?

I personally use MouseLight (www.vizidesk.com) for my product demos. It puts a spotlight around the mouse. Really cool.
Just wondering if Jing is with this?

I didn't see the Jing logos and end screens on their videos? How did they do that?
I have a problem talking and clicking at the same time. I'm so busy trying to read the script that I forget to click the right thing, or sometimes I just say something incoherent or hestitantly and have to junk the whole thing and reset my demo. So now I Jing the Jing. This means making the Jing video first - in silence by unplugging the mic, I leave a nice gap at beginning and end for cutting and save the SWF locally. Then I open it again and run it a few times to practice my narration, then I run another Jing video capture over it, (which I can size to suit my blog) this time with my prepared commentary. I have put a URL link on my name below this comment of a funny example. I still need practice, but it makes the video narration run smoothly.
