where is version 1.2.4?
Everytime I download jing. I start installer and it says version 1.2.3
I aodre the ease of use. Great job! I understand the need for simplicity and condensed files; however, I would still like to see some additional features available for video recording....for example, the ability for the cursor to highlight when the user presses a command button or the ability to highlight certain words using an on-screen highlighter. Regardless, I will be most interested in hearing about how much the product cost each month (or how much screencast.com cost each month). Thank you for the causal marketing of the product---very Gen X/Y!--way to go!

How can you choose your microphone? I have one on my sound card and the Samson USB CO1U mic, and I do not see where you can change the microphone source. It is defaulting to my sound card, and I don't have a mic for that! I need to be able to choose my microphone please!
I could use this to help my Dad with his computer, but he uses 56k dialup. Will this work with dialup users?
This is great stuff. Simplest screen capture I have ever used (I have used around half a dozen by now including TS' Snagit and Camtasia).
Anyways the best feature that I would love to have is the ability to add callouts. We don't need all those countless types as in Camtasia studio, but just one type, rounded rectangle with the ability to position it and adjust the arrowhead.

I have too say that Jing is becoming a nice tool. It is becoming much like Skitch from http://plasq.com for MAC. I think it could have a zoom tool like Kuantics™ Desktop Tool developed with mdm Zinc™ like you can see here: http://www.multidmedia.com/showcase/showcase.php?id=32. I think the interface is too much funny and less functional. I like it but I think it could be some how a little more professsional and apealing, like Skitch or Kuantics tool. Best regards. The only drawback I see is the usage of screencast.com
Can't the application be sold with the ability to specify where links are stored online? In working for the government, they frown on anything being stored or linked offsite.
The decision makers would insist on using our own servers for this information.
This is a great app...it's actually going to solve a problem we have trying to capture video from our Measurement Microscope...can't wait to try it tomorrow!
Is there any chance of gettings a faster frame rate than 10FPS though?
Great program for Mac, especially the price.
The only thing I'd like to see added is the ability to alter the layer order when an item is selected, with the Command +/- keys
The image capture is great and very funcional but the control of the legend tool like text, highlight, frame and arrow are still a little bit difficult to use. I think Jing needs here a functionality to move the objects (text, frame, higlights and arrows) and re-edit them. Adding some meta to the imagens would be great and because we use it on the screen for capture images on websites and applications, I guess it could be usefull that we could add some information about where the image is captured.

I use Jing on a Apple G4 dual 500 MHz and it doesnt work well... I get one frame in 3 seconds. Why is it so slow???

What is the difference between Jing and Snag-IT? Do I need both?
Jing is lots of fun, but I would also like to know how it differs from SnagIt.
Adding callouts to videos and highlighting the cursor would be great.
Price for Jing in final form? Price for screencast.com?
I great tool for the video recording would be the ability to add a callout, highlighting, or zoom during the playback (along with pauses). Maybe that's getting beyond what this is intended for? Is there another program that does exactly that?

Jing's intention is quick, casual and simple content creation and dead simple sharing. We want to remove all the technical and process barriers of doing this so that we can help democratize visual communication. We feel adding lots of editing features gets in the way of that single goal.

I was hoping for jing to be more like snagit, which I use all the time on the PC, but I don' t think it is even close. It needs to be able to save to the clipboard.

I have only just downloaded and started to use Jing and already I am loving it. The only problem I am having is the resolution in the playback. It doesn't matter what size the window is I am trying to capture, I always only get like 25% of the window I am trying to capture video on.
I would like to be able to rename files ''after the fact'' i.e. before appreciating the default date/time saving associated with Jing, I just saved ''as is'' Now I would like to go back and re-name files 'appropriately' and I can't find a way to do that in Help or program prompts. Can you help?

I captured an image and it said the image has been sent to "my clipboard". Please explain what and where is "my clipboard", and what do I do with it.
Next question, what is "embed" mean?
Just downloaded Jing. Great screen capture software. Only thing missing is audio source options when recording videos. Otherwise an absolutely awesome program. Could we get some audio options? That would instantly begin to fill this program out and really give it teeth.
Why can't we have longer vids? That would come in handy
